Why is summer the perfect time to be thinking about school? Because our Lend a Hand Mentoring program is critical to hundreds of local youth each year, and the Knights of Pythagoras Mentoring Network needs volunteers this fall!
Did you know that with one hour of your time each week, you could make a huge difference in one child’s life? Yes indeed and it’s fun and rewarding!

DELRAY BEACH – Preparing for college entrance exams sometimes gets lost in the shuffle for students as they near the end of their high school careers.
That’s why the South Florida Scholarship & SAT Preparation Foundation and XPE Sports are offering an opportunity to practice the Scholastic Achievement Test - SAT - this weekend.
Area students can sharpen their academic skills while honing their athletic abilities at this three-day enrichment camp at
Plumosa
Elementary School, 1712 NE 2nd Ave., Delray Beach from Thursday, June 14 to Saturday, June 16.

Many of us, as always, will take time tomorrow to reflect on Americans killed in combat dating back to the Revolution.
While you are at it, take time to think about the families left behind. There is a lot of talk that Americans really haven't had to sacrifice much during the Iraq War, but those who have lost a loved one have sacrificed something that can never be replaced.
