DELRAY BEACH – Under the leadership of Founding President C. Ron Allen, the Knights of Pythagoras Mentoring Network has become one of South Florida's leading social services organizations that is addressing the needs of children and their families.

For nearly two decades, Mr. Allen has generously committed his time, energy, creativity, financial resources and leadership to improving the lives of our children through the Knights of Pythagoras Mentoring Network.

Since November of 2009, the Knights of Pythagoras Mentoring Network Inc. has embarked on an aggressive program to reposition the organization, the Board of Directors, the staff, and its programs for the future. Significant progress has been made and innovative strategies continue to be developed and implemented.

Over the past three months, we have drafted and adopted a new strategic plan and adjusted the mission and vision statement. We will continue to provide programs emphasizing the latest trends in infrastructure, training, resources, and professional development so that participants and the community can receive the highest level of commitment and high-quality services. We refuse to allow the current recession and the world perils to interfere with service delivery of which our community so deserves.

The Knights of Pythagoras Mentoring Network Inc. strategic plan calls for a strong emphasis on advocacy and public education and involvement in moving forward. Our success depends upon a united front inward and outward as well as the strength of public support. We know that a far greater effect can be made based on the strength of our collaborative efforts and community partnerships, public and private.

We are creating an innovative website that will address the general public, funders, supporters and contributors to the various components of our agency, which is more than a mentoring program. We are positioning ourselves to provide services to our participants and to the community in a holistic manner in an inclusive setting. We have adopted the approach of a "one-stop service center," providing instruction in reading, writing, math, and computer skills, mentoring, critical thinking skills, literacy, hands-on instruction and performance along with empowerment skills that will help bring about a stable and more productive community.

We are making a stronger connection to a network of Professionals with proven track records in delivery of services. These Professionals will be able to connect our participants to specialized services that we offer.

This partnership and its effectiveness will be measured and evaluated for its competency, delivery of services, and demonstrated results.

Along with cohesiveness among our internal organization and our affiliates, considerable time is being spent reconnecting with members and donors and creating partnerships with foundations and corporations that can help provide the Knights of Pythagoras Mentoring Network Inc. with a stable financial future. We are also prepared to visit and meet with members of Congress, Government officials, Entertainers, Corporations and Institutions on behalf of our participants and our community at large.

We have revisited our organizational vision, and we shall continue to witness the results from all the hard work and dedication to our mission and goals. We have several new initiatives underway, and we have a new focus for existing initiatives.

We have streamlined our administrative processes so that every dollar raised and received shall go towards services and securing professional individuals that co-exist with our purpose and plan for delivery of services, programs and operational expenses.

We have become a more efficient and effective organization than ever before with just three months of concentrated efforts in improving and becoming mainstream in our efforts to support and give back to our communities within our service-targeted areas. In our introduction and summaries that follow you will learn of all the changes that we have made and will continue to formulate. More importantly, you will gain knowledge of how you can be of assistance in our expansion efforts and how you can contribute in making our urgent needs a reality – resources that will benefit a conglomerate of individuals and organizations that share in our vision and goals.

You, as they have, will see the need for justification of character, integrity and excellence in service delivery. You will also see the benefits of losing the "I and no more" mentality that prevents outward and inward expansion and progress. We are firm believers in mutual respect and effective collaboration rather than isolated and apart.

It is important to keep in mind that our accomplishments demonstrate the work of many concerned and dedicated individuals and professionals who have joined together for the good of humanity and who see beyond the success of their own individual entities and services rendered from their targeted populations and market. We are very fortunate in having these individuals join forces with us in strength, numbers, resources and dedication of heart, mind and spirit. With passionate and committed donors, contributors and supporters, this will be our success story.
